WELCOME TO
CresSens
Transformative arts
By Pierre Chesneau
An integrative philosophy about expanding as a human being, based on 20 years of creative and professional exploration.
From growth to meaning.
One philosophy. Multiple practices.
CresSens is a philosophy gathered over a lifetime of moving between cultures, art forms and practices. It is not about becoming better, but becoming wider: adding perspectives, expanding empathy, feeling more, and learning to hold more of life at once. That widening can come through movement, travel, films, games, music, exhibitions, or any encounter that shifts how we see things. CresSens is a way of approaching those experiences deliberately, using art and practice to widen our inner space.
For now, this philosophy takes two forms, two doors into the same world. Different ways of engaging with the ideas, depending on where you enter from. And who knowsโฆ there might be more opening in the futureโฆ!
A short story
What is CresSens?
A systems-thinking approach.
A way to widen our inner space.
To experience more and hold more of life's complexity.

Cressens With Pierre
My (long) journey towards Cressens
I believe my journey to Cressens starts with the way my brain works. In French, I would call it arborescence: a tree-like thinking that connects things which, on the surface, have little to do with one another. I also tend to get hyper-focused and go pretty deep into whatever has my attention. Over the years, that has meant architecture, dance, music, tango, then photography and video, alongside being a lifelong gamer and cinephile and general tech nerd.
For a long time, I moved through these worlds one after another. Then burnout forced me to reinvent myself. I stepped away from life as a dance teacher and musician and moved into filmmaking, building Bloomyn Media. The tools changed, but I kept looking for the same thing underneath: the thread connecting how we learn, create, relate and make meaning.
Bloomyn became my first attempt to give that idea a home. But the connections kept spreading. Cinema taught me about storytelling and the ways we organise experience into meaning. Music changed the way I could listen and feel. Dance changed the relationship between my brain and body, but also the way I conceived social interactions. Creative work brought another difficulty into the picture: how to communicate to the world what we do and who we are?
Over time, I realised I was trying to build something larger than a collection of practices: a system of thinking, learning and engaging with the world. How does learning something reorganise us? How to participate deeply, rather than simply consume? Art, culture, movement, even games can support perspective shifts, giving us access to ways of seeing, feeling or understanding that we might not have reached alone.
Working on the dance method brought all of this into a concrete world of action and embodiment, and gradually the philosophy became clearer. I think it is my answer to what it means to navigate the current world as a human being, as a creative individual, as a moving body, as a thinking mind. My answer to the questions of presence, meaning, and growth.
This is my journey to CresSens, and I think it's just the beginning.
How about yours!?

Cressens is an evolving practice. I teach, coach, produce, and collaborate with people who want to explore these ideas in practice.
